www.homeinformationpacks.gov.ukIf you are buying a home, make sure you see the Home Information Pack
Since December 14th 2007, every home put on the market, no matter what size, must have HIPs. It brings together valuable information - such as a sale statement, local searches, and evidence of the title, which could save you money, time, and stress. The pack also includes an Energy Performance Certificate that contains advice on CO2 emissions and fuel bills
Hips provide important information for sellers and buyers alike. To have this transparency at the start of the home purchase process reduces the likelihood of hidden problems, which could hamper the sale.
